Challenge
Mission-critical reporting failed with no known changes; the provider couldn't find the cause.
Solution
A week of audits found the problem and its source. A fix without a source is a fix that comes back.
Result
Relaunched with confidence; never recurred.
Challenge
A client's reporting began showing errors and could no longer be relied on. There were no known changes, and their technology service provider could not determine the cause. After several attempts over several weeks, the problem was creating significant challenges for this high-volume management team, forcing manual processes until it was fixed.
Solution
The technology service provider reached out to Blue Glass Insights. Nothing had changed on the client's side, which is usually the tell that the change came from underneath, in a platform default, a library version, or a tag updated without an announcement. After a week of audits and tests we identified the problem and, more usefully, its source, because a fix without a source is a fix that comes back. We provided the plan and the technical repairs to clean it up, and after several days of testing they were able to relaunch with confidence.
Result
The service provider has brought us in to help with additional projects for this client, and the reporting issue has not recurred since.
Work like this is delivered through our Technical Services and, where it is ongoing, our Platform Management bundles.
