Challenge

A banking client's Facebook and mortgage-application reporting broken inside a strict privacy boundary.

Solution

Fixed code and tags; treated privacy compliance as pass/fail, not preference.

Result

Reporting fixed, privacy intact, years of follow-on support.

Challenge

The agency for a banking client needed help with reporting issues where Facebook was not reporting at all and mortgage application reporting was off. Both had to be fixed inside a data privacy boundary that could not be relaxed to make the work easier.

Solution

We were asked to assess the problem and provide a recommended fix. We identified the source of the issue and updated the code and tags. The constraint that shaped the work is one every regulated client has: an application form carries information that must never reach an analytics platform, and the most common way it leaks is not a deliberate decision but a confirmation page quietly carrying an identifier in its URL. We tested for accuracy and for privacy compliance, and treated the second as a pass or fail condition rather than a preference.

Result

Reporting was fixed, privacy was intact, and the client was happy. We were brought in for additional support as needed through the years.

Work like this is delivered through our Technical Services and, where it is ongoing, our Platform Management bundles.
